Weekend at the Beach

I decided to take a break from recaps to discuss the present. We spent this past weekend at my in-laws beach house in the Northern Neck of VA. It was actually the first time I had been down all year...every other weekend I was always busy with wedding stuff so it's nice to finally have the free time again to go down for a visit.
We spent the weekend eating crabs and shrimp, fishing (Kristian) and looking at wedding pictures (me and his mom), watching the World Cup, going out to dinner and just overall relaxation. The best part was Kristian FINALLY catching something using the fancy reel I bought him for an engagement present. I had told him if he didn't catch something soon I was going to return it. So he ended up catching a 25 pound Stingray and de-virginizing his reel. We are planning on going back down for 4th of July weekend.

(Got crabs?)

(Love the view)

(Jack is helping Kristian bring in the Stingray)

(I'm holding the rod while he gets ready to cut the Stingray free, he used his shirt to avoid getting stung)

(Jack is just dying to get at it)

(Look at those guns!)

(Jack was worn out from all the excitement)

Oh em gee at that first picture. "Got crabs?" Ha! That sounds so gross and enticing at the same time. Looks like fun times!
