I think I'm in the same group as a lot of women who decide to grow their hair out for their wedding. I've always had relatively long hair (below the shoulders) but in anticipation of the wedding I made a point to grow it out even more. I knew I was going to wear it down and curly and therefore I wanted it as long as possible in order to get the look I was after.
Because of this I haven't cut my hair since October. Holy Split-ends! The past few months my hair has been driving me nuts, it's just gotten way too long and unmanageable and most days it didn't take long before I threw it up in a ponytail. I COULD NOT wait until after the wedding when I could finally cut it and tonight was finally the night.
I decided to use a new hair stylist who was more geographically desirable than my previous lady. I ended up going to the same lady that my mother in law uses. In fact Kristian has even had her cut his hair in the past. I basically gave her free reign to do what she wanted. I told her I wanted at least 4 inches off, maybe some layers and possibly some bangs. I'm really happy with what she did and Kristian feels like he has a new wife. Check it out below.
*The after- BANGS!*
*My hair is shorter but not "too" short and she cut some layers in it to give me some more body*
I haven't had bangs since college and those were not the cute, trendy kind of the bangs but more the hideous, whatwasIthinking kind. I'm happy with the bangs, now I just hope I can style them and not go nuts having them in my eyes.

The bangs look great! I also cut my hair after the wedding. It got way too long to handle!
It looks amazing! I am all about bangs now but I only did a trim after growing it out for the wedding.
darlin girl, you are a hottie. i love the bangs. you ARE bangin! lol.
It's so cute! You look so sassy.. haha yes, I just said sassy :)
You are ROCKING the new bangs. Love them.
Nice :) Your "after" is what I'm aiming for. When Adam met me I had a bob, so that's as long as he can handle (and even then I think he'll be begging me to chop it).
Cute! The long bangs will grow out quickly. As a long time fan of bangs, I just thought I warn you. That said, I love the length. The last time, mine were way too short, but they grew out really nicely. Otherwise, I haven't had a really good cut in awhile. So glad Kristian loves it! :)
Your haircut looks great! I also grew out my hair for my wedding and then ended up wearing it up for some stupid reason. Now I am growing it out some more for locks of love. I will be cutting it in October.
I love the new cut, very cute!
Really cute! My "i'm growing out my hair for the wedding" looks similar to that. I'm not sure what I'll do for my wife chop yet, but I can't wait!
Whoa you DO look like a new woman! LOVE the new bangs...they're, well, bangin'!!! Haha.
So cute! Love the bangs! I just can't bring myself to get bangs. It took me a year in highschool to grow them out and I vowed to never have them again! Every time I go in I say I'm going to do it...and then chicken out. Oh well, guess it just wasn't meant to be!
Um , I love it. It looks sooo good. I'm doing the exact same thing...growing it out for the wedding, then looking forward to chopping it off!!
You look awesome! This is my kind of PWC - I look awful with short hair, but I need some kind of new style!
The bangs are too cute!
I'm growing my hair out for our wedding, but unlike you, I've always had SHORT hair. Like chin length. So, this is killing me. I'll probably be cutting it off the day after before I hop on the plane!
It looks great; love the bangs!
I just got mine cut last Saturday after leaving it from October too so I could put it up for the wedding.
I could only really have a couple of inches off it and not many layers put in as I need to be able to get it put up easily for being a bridesmaid in Italy in 5 weeks!
It looks fabulous!! I cut 14 inches after our wedding, ha!
Love the bangs on you. You look great.
