Weekly Update- 29 weeks

6/20/16 - 6/26/16

Size of baby: Butternut Squash-  His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 20ish pounds, haven't weighed myself this week

Maternity Clothes: all maternity and stretchy dresses

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: he moves all day long and especially at night around 9pm which seems to be when he's most active. He feels very low so my cervix is taking a beating.

What I miss: not being so uncomfortable all the time and running out of energy so easily. I desperately want to clean/organize and nest but get worn out so quickly.

Sleep: terrible until about 2am, lots of tossing and turning, around 2-3am I finally settle down and sleep well until my alarm goes off.

Symptoms: this past week was rough, a lot of braxton hicks contractions, pressure and feeling more like I'm 9 months pregnant than 7 months. I'm starting to panic that he's going to come early and we are NOT ready.

Cravings: anything sweet

Best Moment this week: After panicking the other day about him coming early I ordered the crib, bedding and made Kristian paint the nursery this weekend. Also, pulled out Hunter's baby clothes to start organizing. So we made some progress.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the crib this week and a long 4th of July weekend.

Weekly Update- 28 weeks

6/13/16 - 6/19/16

Size of baby: A large eggplant- He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: according to my doctor's appointment 20 pounds even.

Maternity Clothes: maternity clothes and maxi dresses. I love this part of being pregnant in the summer, dresses are way more comfy than pants which I was stuck with for Hunters pregnancy.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: lots of very strong movement, according to my doctor the baby is head down already which I suspected but the other night he kept head butting my private area which was starting to get painful. I don't remember Hunter doing that. Maybe it's a that's he's getting me ready for a VBAC.

What I miss: being able to move around easily, sometimes I forget I'm as pregnant as I am and think I can get up or move around like before and I'm quickly reminded that's not the case.

Sleep: pretty good except for the constant wake-ups to use the bathroom

Symptoms: lots of "kicks" down low, braxton hicks

Cravings: I'm loving McDonald's vanilla milkshakes.

Best Moment this week: Getting our AC fixed finally!!! And passing my glucose test which was a huge relief though it turns out I am anemic which I was with Hunter so I need an iron supplement.

What I am looking forward to: Hoping to get the nursery painted this week so I can finally order furniture. Have it all picked out just have to get it. We are definitely slacking on the nursery department, I think by this time we had pretty good progress with Hunters room.

Weekly Update- 27 weeks

6/6/16 - 6/12/16

Size of baby: A head of cauliflower-  He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers

Total Weight Gain/Loss: about 18 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity and very stretchy non maternity clothes

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: getting stronger to the point of being uncomfortable at time. Kicks and body rolls and a few head butts to the lower region!

What I miss: Still miss my AC and being able to sleep comfortably.

Sleep: don't want to talk about it.

Symptoms: a few braxton hicks, very tight belly at times and getting out of breath easier.

Cravings: ice cream, milkshakes, fries...you know the healthy stuff

Best Moment this week: We had the house professionally deep cleaned which we've been needing to do for a LONG time. The house looked SO nice afterwards it makes me want to have cleaners all the time. We do plan to have them come back in August before baby comes, hopefully.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the AC fixed (tomorrow!) and maybe we will start painting the nursery next week, my anxiety is starting to grow that we haven't made much progress in the nursery.

Weekly Update- 26 weeks

5/30/16 - 6/5/16

Size of baby: A scallion- The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: about 16 pounds

Maternity Clothes: I LOVE maternity shorts, so comfortable. Mostly maternity now for comfort and maxi dresses.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Lots of movement, mainly at night around 8-9pm.

What I miss: still miss my air conditioning. We need a brand new system which is $$$ and won't be installed til next week :(

Sleep: still sucks thanks to no AC.

Symptoms: nothing new

Cravings: fruit and dessert...still

Best Moment this week: another good appointment, baby's heartbeat sounds good. More progress cleaning out the future nursery, now 90% of the stuff in there is actually for the baby. Need to pick out a paint color this weekend so we can paint and then get the carpets cleaned.

What I am looking forward to: Getting my AC fixed hopefully soon (still!)
