Honeymoon Recap- Da Beach

Obviously one of the biggest appeals of going to any tropical island is the beach and St. Lucia is no different. Because St. Lucia is a volcanic island the sand isn't the white kind you normally expect but the darker blackish sand which is pretty cool. The water is clear and warm and full of amazingly colorful fish.

Since our resort is built into the side of cliff that meant that the beach wasn't exactly outside our door, however it did provide for the most amazing views being up high. We did have a beach but it was literally 166 steps down the side of the cliff. Going down was not a problem, coming back up was a bitch...not gonna lie. The trick is to make sure that you have everything you're gonna need so that you only have to make the trip back up once. Honestly it wasn't really that bad.

There is a restaurant and bar on the beach as well as their dive shop to rent snorkel equipment and kayaks. I would typically lay on the chaise and read while Kristian would fish, snorkel, kayak or make friends with the locals that would hang out nearby.

Aren't beach honeymoons just the best most relaxing things? We got some similar shots like yours! Funny. Though we didn't do the fishing thing...but you knew you'd have to with your man ;)
