Work the Wind!

Yesterday was our engagement photo shoot and overall I think it went pretty well! We couldn't have asked for better weather and our photographers Rob and Jenn (who are married) are soooo nice and patient. We were so grateful they were willing to make the 2 hour drive down to K's parent's beach house.

We spent about 1 1/2 hours taking pictures in various locations including on the sand, the pier, out front by some bushes and even a few in their neighbors yard since they weren't home. Shhhh don't tell :)

It was quite windy by the water which wasn't surprising and it was wreaking havoc on my hair. Just as I would get it to calm down and Rob was about to snap a photo the wind would pick up and blow my hair in my face. Fortunately it did help in a few shots where my Pantene-esque hair is blowing behind me :-) The best part was when we were posing and Rob yelled at me "Work the Wind! Work the Wind!" I was just waiting for him to yell "Make love to the camera"

It was a bit awkward trying to pose without looking like we were posing and having someone take our picture while we were basically making out. Now I know how the celebs feel. HA! America's Next Top Model I am not.

Our two outfits turned out great and I think out of the hundreds of shots we'll have a good amount to choose from. We should get them back in 2-3 weeks! It feels like forever! I'm dying! Fortunately K's parents were there and they took some behind the scenes shots of a few of our locations. You can only see a little bit of our second costume change since we were so far away. As soon as I get the professional pictures I will post them. In the meantime enjoy the ones from his parents:

How fun. I really wish we had done engagement pics, but J was not into it at all. Looks like a blast!
