SWW

This week I'm saying So What if:

-I've been letting Hunter watch more t.v. in the evenings than we used to. By the time I get home it's dark and cold, we're both tired and I really like the snuggle time. Once spring comes I'm sure we'll be back outside playing more in the evenings.

-I turned down the chance to drink some of a $250 glass of Louis XIII cognac Friday night. My company had our post-holiday holiday dinner at Capital Grille (a fancy steakhouse) and my boss let the table order two glasses of Louis XIII cognac which is $250 PER glass. The bartendar was a little heavy handed and split up the two glasses so everyone could have their own tiny glass to sip on. I didn't try it because I don't like cognac and didn't want to waste it.

-I'm pretty sure I'm suffering from SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder. I've just been kind of bummed out for various reasons and I know the cold weather, getting home when it's dark out and not really having any fun holidays coming up isn't helping.

-I'm going to tell Kristian to buy me a Valentine's Day gift this year. The past two years I told him he didn't have to get me anything, so he didn't, and I was secretly annoyed at the end of the day. So this year I'm going to just own up to the fact that I want something. Nothing expensive but just something little and cute, isn't that one of the perks of having a husband?

-I try to bribe my kid with dessert in order to get him to eat his dinner. He's become so picky lately and not wanting to even eat foods he's liked in the past so I tell him if he eats even some of everything on his plate he can have a treat afterwards. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

-Our Christmas lights are still up outside. We don't actually turn them on but they are still up. Hopefully my husband will take them down this weekend.

-I haven't started Hunters 2 year photobook yet. It's such a time consuming task that I keep putting it off.

I bribed my daughter with dessert last night. She never used to be a picky eater but she is now. She turned two in December and I still haven't done her two year photo book either. My four month old kinds of takes up all my time!

Ours can't be bribed. It's frustrating. She's been better at trying new foods, but she picks favorites and then it's all that for awhile. She would only eat pasta for awhile, but I started making pasta the side dish to wean her off. She still gets it, but it got her to bring in a little more.

We never did anything for Valentine's Day, but the last 3 years or so, Rob has come home with flowers for both his girls so we both get a dozen roses. They're usually just cheap Metro roses, but it's enough.

I did full albums for Laura up until she was like 4. I may just switch to photobooks. They take up less space. Where do you get yours done? I just haven't had many photos this past year frankly so 5-6 may just be an off year and I'll get my act together for #2 (or pretend like I will).

I haven't even thought about doing Connor's 1 year book. Where in the world do you start? I feel like it's been so long ago now that I'm going to be wishing I had started then.

um, i thought bribes are a given when you have kids? :D

and yes to tv time. we've been doing that too. it's dark when we get home and although we play and stuff, sometimes i just don't feel like playing candyland so she watches tv while i snuggle with her. best.

I would have TOTALLY tried the cognac even though I hate it too. That's an insane price for a glass of booze.
(hand me a $4 rum and diet please!)

Wow! $250 a glass is crazy. I wonder who drinks that stuff normally. Seems so silly! But neat that they let you (well your table) try!

Thinking of putting Lids' 1 - 2 year photos and videos together is overwhelming me too. So much work and no time to do it. I know I need to soon.

Oh and we also have lights up outside our house. Oops! All other decorations are down, just haven't gotten to those yet. Maybe today!

I'm also guilty of bribing dessert, this pickiness drives me insane!! Also I feel like the months of Jan and Feb are so blah :( I am always ready for calm after Holidays but with it getting dark and nothing fun to look forward too anymore it's a big let down. I feel like March gets better though!! I need to do photo books!!
