10 Years In a Flash

Ten Years Ago today I donned my cap and gown, gathered with some of the best friends I've ever made and graduated from East Carolina University.

I'm the one in the middle leaning down in the front row.

I remember that weekend so well. It was honestly one of the most fun weekends I've ever had. Not only was I celebrating my college graduation on Saturday but my 22nd birthday was the next day on the same day as Mother's Day. All of my family was in town along with many of my older friends who had come back to celebrate on Saturday night. And then that Monday my boyfriend at the time and I left for a week long trip to Florida.

In the past 10 years I've moved 6 times, had 3 jobs, made friendships, lost friendships, dated lots of losers and one winner that I made my husband and given birth to the best little boy ever.

Ten years later and I will also be celebrating this weekend. This time I will once again be with my family to celebrate another birthday *cough*32*cough* as well as my first Mother's Day as a mama. It may not be the drunken debauchery of 10 years ago but for me, at this time of my life, it's exactly where I want to be.

That is so cool that ten years ago this weekend you graduated and now this year you get another huge milestone to celebrate - your first mother's day! Happy Birthday... 32 Years young and many more to come! :) I hope your weekend is as fabulous as it was 10 years ago, if not even more so!

Happy first Mother's Day this weekend! I was having lunch yesterday with one of my college friends, and we were saying how we can't believe it's been 10 years since we met during undergrad, how much life has changed since then and how we're also both right where we want to be at the moment. It's a great feeling.

Love the picture. That was a great weekend. I remember spending the night at the AOPi house one last time and then Missy made me go into Burger King without my shoes. Can't believe its been 10 years. So many things have happened but I'm lucky to still have all of you still in my life!
