Yesterday was Hunter's 4 month checkup which included some more shots. As with his 2 month checkup he did great and handled the shots like a champ. He only cried for a second and stopped as soon as I picked him up and was even flirting with the nurse again before she left the room. With the exception of the few minutes he got his shots he was super happy and smiley and cooed at the pretty nurse and his doctor.
The doc confirmed what I already know which is my little boy is perfect, a tad chunky with a huge head but perfect. He's developing right on schedule and seems to be totally healthy. Hoorah!
Birth Stats:
7lbs 12ozs
20.5" long
Four Month Stats:
17lbs 9ozs - 84th percentile
(He's gained 10 pounds in 4 months!!! He's my little Chubbs McGee)
25.75" long - 61st percentile
His head circumference is 45.5cms which is in the 97th percentile!!! (Maybe I should start calling him
Fatty McBigHead). We told the doctor that "big heads" run in the family on his fathers side. Kristian actually had to special order his football helmet in high school due to his big dome. The doctor wasn't worried but did say he would keep an eye on it's growth just in case.
The doctor also told us to feel free to start him on some cereal or fruits if we want. I think we may try some Oatmeal this weekend or maybe some Avocado in honor of Cinco De Mayo tomorrow, I think baby boy would like some guacamole!

OH man I'm already worried about "shots" for my future kids..glad he took it like a champ! How exciting starting him on some "grown-up" food!
Wow, sounds healthy!
Avocado is a great food to start him on. Get rid of the green phobia as soon as possible. We started with rice cereal and, since then, it's been hard to give Laura any soft foods or even her bottle. She loved and took to eating solids almost immediately.
Yum, avocado sounds like the perfect choice this weekend! I hope you have a great one!
I have a big head and my husband hads a smaller dome soooo I'm hoping this baby takes after his/her Daddy on this one!
It's good to know Hunter is growing so well and so perfectly!
wow... time sure does fly... how is this possible!?!
Keep enjoying every moment!
Sounds like your raising a little linebacker! Nothing better then a happy healthy baby!
Yeah for such a great appt!! Did you try and foods yet? I can't wait to hear how it goes. We started giving Savannah some rice cereal after her 4 month appt last week but its still a work in progress and she doesn't understand the spoon or swallowing just yet.
Awww Happy 4 month! Hunter is growing very well and I love watching his progress! That's so cute that he follows after his daddy's head! Let us know how the introduction to solids go :)
