Where to go from here

When I first started this blog I did so with the intention of chronicling not only my wedding planning but also just the whole engagement period of my life. My initial plan (and I still want to do this) was to eventually print off every post and put them together in a little book to have as a keepsake. The blog also gave me an outlet to talk about the wedding as much or as little as I wanted and spare my friends from my constant wedding talk. I really never imagined people would actually read what I wrote or give a shit about my wedding but much to my happy surprise people have and it's been great. I've made some really great "bloggie friends".

So here's the thing I don't want to give up blogging, I really do enjoy it and I plan to continue to do it. Maybe not as often because let's face it my life is kinda boring but I can't foresee myself quitting it altogether. I'll probably still talk about my wedding and weddings in general because let's be honest I've been obsessed with weddings my whole life and mine especially and that's not gonna change anytime soon. However, I also plan to blog about being a newlywed and navigating the waters of being someones wife as well as whatever other shit pops in my head.

So here's my question, what should I do with my blog?? I've come up with a few ideas and I would love some feedback from the peanut gallery.

A- start a whole new blog ---I'm leaning away from this idea because it seems like a lot of extra work and to be honest I would hate to abandon this little corner of the blog world that I've created.

B- Keep the blog the same exact way --- This isn't a horrible idea except that the title no longer really fits my life. After all I'm not a bride anymore *sad face* I never expected to really keep up with the whole blogging thing otherwise I would have come up with a more generic title from the start.

C- Keep the blog but change the name --- This is the more likely scenario. I've thought of a few names though suggestions are welcomed and encouraged! Here's my question, if I just change the title of the blog does it automatically change in people's readers? Would people have to re-save it in their readers with the new name? I'm so blog stupid when it comes to stuff like this.

So what do you think? Where should I go from here? Have any of you changed your blog name or just started new blogs when your life circumstances changed?
Oh and I hope everyone has a fabulous Labor Day weekend!!

Hands-down, totally want you to keep blogging!! And I think you should keep the same blog and just maybe change the name. It may make it easier for us followers if we ever want to go back to old posts for wedding tips instead of having to go back to the old blog:)

But I definitely think you should keep blogging because I not only loved learning more about your wedding, but I loved learning more about you!!!

I've definitely become hooked on blogging, too, so I know what you mean! I actually think it's probably best to just change the name of your blog, in your case, rather than start a whole new one. As long as you don't change the url address, the blog should show up in our readers just as it always does.

I also seem to remember Hannah from A Very Gator Wedding sharing the name of a service that can transform your blog into a book. Do you follow her? I forget the name of the service, but I hope I'll be able to use something like that myself.

In regards to the comment above, the service is Blog2Print or maybe BlogtoPrint...I can't remember. I just know because I too follow Hannah and looked into this. :-)

But DEF. keep blogging girl! We don't want you to go away! And I vote just change the name and keep your url!

Keep blogging :) I stopped posting regularly for a while after we got married, just busy with life stuff- and I missed the outlet. I process things by writing them out and it seems like maybe you do too? I am about to switch my blog over to a different domain and different name. I use wordpress for work and just am getting tired to switching over to blogger... anyway, just saying, keep writing :)

I say keep the blog and change the name! Luckily your blogger handle/address/thing whatever is yours and your husband initials...so you can move right into newlywedness without a hitch!

Don't stop blogging though! I think I can speak for all your followers when I say that we'd miss you!

I was going to suggest Blog2Print as well because that is totally why I started my blog and planned on printing it out in a book when I am completely done with all the 'wedding chat.'

Like you, I will be ending up my recaps this month and have been trying to figure out where to go from here if anywhere? I may just follow other blogs and not post much at all. At least for a bit, I need a break!

I vote keep the blog....change the name! Since your url is still fitting, no need to change that too!

Definitely keep blogging! I personally wanted a completely fresh start, complete with a new name and new design. I know it will be hard to build my followers back up, but I felt I just needed a clean slate. Having said that, I totally get wanting to simply change the name and stay with your current blog. I don't know the logistics that go into it, but I think if you write a nice post letting everyone know of the changes, you'll be fine :)

We changed our name from BonBon Rose to BonBon Rose Girls pretty seamlessly!

I'm thinking of the same issues just now too but I think
I'm going to carry on with my blog and just change the title, so I vote for that option for you too!
