SWW

This week I'm saying So What if:

-I left work 20 minutes early yesterday to get a jump on the holiday traffic which I knew would be awful due to the weather. It still took me an hour and 40 minutes to get home (usually it's about an hour). I hate commuting in the DC area.

-I think it's shitty that stores are opening on Thanksgiving. Can people seriously not wait until at least midnight to buy shit?? I feel awful for those employees that need to leave their families early to go work retail. Personally, there is nothing I want to buy bad enough to make me shop on Thanksgiving.

-I can't wait to see Hunters reaction to the Christmas tree this year. I just hope he doesn't pull all the ornaments off or knock it over.

-As much as I like the holidays, they stress me out and cause my anxiety to rise, looks like I will be making use of my Xanax prescription.

-I almost peed myself in excitement yesterday when I found out we get to work from home the whole week of Christmas (except for the 25th and 26th which we are officially closed for). Not to mention I had already taken the first week of January off, so I get two weeks at home which means I can hopefully get some cleaning and organizing done around the house.

-This 4 day weekend couldn't come at a better time, there are several people I work with (not co-workers) who are making me want to punch my computer monitor. I'm just tired of dealing with people in general.

-My kid will be primarily getting toy trucks, buses and cars for Christmas.#boymom

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! This weather here really stinks, but I'm glad that it at least isn't snowing, which I am definitely not ready for yet.

Uggh I feel the same way about stores opening on Thanksgiving for their Black Friday deals. It's called Black FRIDAY for a reason! My daughter is getting a lot of toy cars (she loves monster trucks!) and trains for Christmas too, haha!

Happy Thanksgiving. I agree with the Black Friday. There is nothing that vital to shop for -- I mean a new TV will still be great on Friday. I do all my shopping with Amazon because its fun & I like to be comfy. :)

I agree, I think the whole Thanksgiving shopping thing in the USA is pretty crazy in general. People actually get physically injured at those sales. So crazy!

Hopefully Hunter won't bother pulling at the tree.. I was worried Lids would but this year she just adores it by looking and not touching so it has been great (put it up over the weekend). She was so excited when we put it up! :)

That is great that you get 2 weeks at home over xmas, even if some is working!

Have a great Thanksgiving! :)

The best part about working from home around Christmas is you'll miss that holiday traffic! You can never have too many trucks, cars, and buses. We just taught B the word 'vehicles' so he could stop listing every type he owns when he talks about them.
