Yep we bought ourselves a shiny, new iPad!!!!
I have to tell you when they first came out I didn't see much point in buying one, after all between my laptop and our smart phones it didn't seem necessary. And well I guess it really isn't necessary but it sure is fun. After playing with a few other people's iPad's I just thought they were so cool and I love how lightweight and portable they are. So yesterday we went to Best Buy and bought our new toy and proceeded to spend most of last night playing with it. It's official I'm in love.
Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day off. I'll post later about our holiday festivities and the other cool gifts we got.

i have to be honest...whenever i see someone playing on one of those, i secretly wish they would drop it just so i can see their reaction. mean, maybe but would be funny. lol.
anyway, it's still really cool. i'm glad you guys went and bought yourselves something fun. you two deserve it.
I have an iPad and I absolutely love it! I was the same way as you - it seemed kind of pointless to get one, but now that I have it I think it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. It's so thin and lightweight and so easy to travel with. Enjoy playing with it! I hope you love it as much as I do!
I'm still wondering they point of them myself....but it would be great to have for travelling! Good for you for treating yourself to something fun!
I agree with you, I don't know what I would use it for! You'll have to give us an in depth review later with your favorite apps. :)
So exciting!! Josh asked for Apple gift cards and he's saving up to buy one when the new generation comes out. I'm secretly really happy he's getting one because then I can play with it ;)
my sis has one and my hubs and i always play on it when we are at my parent's house. we love them too! and we want to get one soon! i'd probably keep using my macbook cuz i love it but my hubby really wants one to play with! ;)
