Bridesmaid dress update

The bridesmaid dress shopping adventure on Saturday went well. Of the 8 or so dresses that Kelli and Colleen tried on we all agreed on 2 that we liked. Both were Wtoo dresses which is the less expensive sister line of the Watters dresses. Below are the two dresses that we liked the most:

The girls said that both dresses were very light and comfortable and would be easy to dance in. The strapless dress is available with straps which is what we would need for the jr. bridesmaids since I don't think strapless is appropriate for a 13 and 11 year old. And the best part is that either of these dresses in black are totally re-wearable to another wedding, holiday party or even fancy dinner. Right now I'm leaning more towards the strapless one.

The only problem with both dresses is that they are out of the price range that I was hoping for, especially since we need to take in consideration possible alteration costs that would be needed. I plan to call around to some other stores that carry this line to do some price comparison and if I can't find either of these exact dresses for less then I'll just look for similar styles from other designers.

It was good having the girls go with me to shop because now I have a much better idea of what looks good on them and what styles they prefer.

the strapless one is the bomb. i even love that gray color. it's stunning! these are definitely re-wearable so hopefully you can find them for less.

i can't wait to see what your dress looks like. only...236 days to go! not bad :)

For shizzle! Both dresses are gorgeous, but I dig the strapless one too. Have you tried some eBay shops for the dresses?

I love both! I like the first one because it looks so classic, but I love how the strapless flows. I don't think you can go wrong with either style.

I think the strapless would compliment your strapless gown, too. It's important to view the entire wedding party together and separately in terms of style.

LOVE LOVE LOVE both, but especially digging the strapless one! Definitely re-wearable, which is SO NICE of you to think of. I have some dresses hanging in my closet that I'll never wear and it pisses me off! :)

Both dresses are fab. The first is classic, but the second is cute. Tough choice! But I totally agree both will be worn many times in the future! I'm even considering going to buy one for my formal wardrobe!

These are both really pretty, I love the second one! I agree with you about strapless and junior bridesmaids, though--some of those dresses look way too grown up on such young girls! In black it would be totally rewearable--I'm sure they'll all appreciate it!

I really like that black one! Very pretty and chic. Ck out bestbridalprices.com, they sell watters BM dresses and their prices are pretty low.

The dresses are great!!! I love the black one, but the strapless one is also fab. I love it how you're being considerate and want them to be able to re-wear it. That's amazing.

I think they're both gorgeous! Other than my sister none of my girls lived in my state, which is why I let them pick out their own black dresses. Thankfully it worked! I put up pics yesterday. : )
