SWW

This week I'm saying So What if:

-After being out of the office for almost a week and a half due to snow and Kristians surgery I was actually happy to come back on Monday. It was nice to be able to just sit down and relax with a cup of coffee and get caught up on everything as opposed to chasing after a toddler and taking care of a recovering husband.

-I don't get the mass appeal of TOMS or those Freshly Picked moccasins. I don't find them to be that cute, especially for what they cost and more especially for babies/kids who feet grow by the second.

-I've become a bit obsessed with the Divergent trilogy, I'm close to halfway finished with the last book and I'm anxious to see how it ends, though I have my predictions. I'm excited to see the movie next month, from the previews it looks pretty close to staying true to the book.

-I'm thrilled the Olympics are over and my favorite shows are coming back--SCANDAL!!

-I refuse to wash or clean out my car until winter is over, we get a few nice days here and there but then turn around and it's snowing again and I have so much salt and dirt in and outside of my car right now. It's pointless to mess with until all the snow is gone for good.

-I lie to my kid and tell him that Mickey is sleeping when he asks to watch it for the 85 billionth time in one day. He pretty much accepts that answer though now he will say "wake up Mickey". It's kind of adorable.

Toms are super comfy, and I wear the kid sizes (which run small so you should try them). I walk to work now so they're great commuter shoes. That said, I pick mine up through zulilly and they're like $25. I only get the eyelet cute ones, and I'm super picky. I wouldn't pay more than that for them, but I also have a lot of trouble finding shoes that fit. For instance, in the kid sizes, I'm usually a 2-3 and I'm a 1 in Toms.

Our kid knows how to work the DVR so she knows how to find all her shoes. Plus, all of them are on the iPad on Netflix. She's pretty good at regulating her own tv though and doesn't get too caught up. So, we're lucky.

I haven't come to terms yet with the ending of the Divergent series so I haven't continued on with the books. I'm sure I'll be more motivated now that it's on the cover of EW this week. I have all of the novellas and short stories so I'll go through those before I settle back into the second book.

That's too funny about Mickey. LOL. I started reading the first Divergent book and so far think it's interesting, but not quite as interesting as The Hunger Games. Hopefully, I'll get more hooked as I keep going along.

I am with you about TOMS. A girlfriend of mine loves them and if I'm going to be honest, the ones she picks are a bit manly and don't do much in the way of style. Also? There is no way I'm spending that much on shoes for C for him to grow out of them in a split second.

I am obsessed with the show Shark Tank and Freshly Picked was on recently and I was super excited I had actually heard of them, but when I found what they cost I was not as excited.

Taylor had a pair of Toms last summer and I just bought her another pair for this summer, but I got them from Zulily for $18 a pair and they are so easy to get on and off in the summer (she should be able to do it herself by the summer), plus a free pair to kids in need sweetens the deal.

I totally tell my 18 months that both Mickey and Thomas are sleeping. Then he proceeds to put his head on the floor and fake snore and says night night mickey. Cutest thing ever, but I'm pretty sure one day he will catch on!
