Comparing notes

Yesterday we had to take Hunter in for an unexpected doctor visit to get the nasty diaper rash that has invaded his man parts area examined. Turns out he has some fungal infection that needs prescription cream to treat. Lovely. I told him this is what he can expect his wee wee to look like if he hangs out with skanky girls when he's older.

One bonus of the visit was getting his latest stats and he's now clocking in at a hefty 22lbs and 27.5" long at 7 1/2 months.

This weekend I pulled out my baby book to do a little size comparison between Hunter and myself at his age and here's how we measured up to each other:

Birth-
Hunter- 7lbs 12oz  20.5"
Me- 7lbs 14 oz   22" (the only time I've ever been tall)

7 Weeks-
Hunter- 11lbs 12oz
Me- 9lbs 12oz

2 Months-
Hunter- 12lbs 14oz
Me- 11lbs 8oz

4 Months-
Hunter- 17lbs 9oz
Me - 14lbs 8oz

5 Months-
Hunter- 19lbs 14oz
Me- 15lbs 10oz

7 Months-
Hunter- 22lbs
Me- 16lbs 13oz

**I didn't hit 22lbs until I was 18 months old!!!

So as you can see my kid is enormous. Even though I started out bigger he quickly surpassed me in size. I can't really compare him to Kristian as a baby since he was born 2 months premature so his stats are a little off because of that.

Also, from looking through my baby book it appears that my child is a genius who is hitting most of his major milestones well before I did (that or I was just slow).

I'm so happy my mom kept such detailed notes in my baby book because it's been fun to compare my development with my sons. It will be interesting to see if I ever have a daughter, if her growth is closer to what mine was since it seems I'm raising a future NFL linebacker at the moment.

This is my favorite part of this entire post: "I told him this is what he can expect his wee wee to look like if he hangs out with skanky girls when he's older". It made me laugh out loud. LOUDLY, too!

Haha the part about telling him what his wee wee will look like cracked me up! My little guy had a fungal infection on his when he was about 7 months too, we had to put nyastain on it, felt so bad for the poor dude!

I love the wee wee skanky girl comment. Hilarious!

Hunter is growing so well! What a strong and healthy boy!

I'm a little jealous that you have all your stats to compare-how fun! Hopefully, all my blogging will give Annabelle any info she may want when she has kids (one day in the far far far far future)! That just seems like so much fun to compare!

I definitely know that while I weighed more at birth, I was also 13 days late and Annabelle was 17 days early-im pretty confident she well exceeds what I weighed at 7 months-since we clocked her in at 21lbs3 ounces!

I'm glad it's not just me getting that arm workout every day!

Can you believe our bundles are already into their 7th month!!!???

He's definitely a big boy. My girl is super tiny so I always enjoy reading other babies' stats. She's probably just hitting 16lbs soon, and she's almost 11 months.
I laughed out loud at the part about skanky girls. Hopefully he remembers your advice :p

My mom can't remember anything about my sisters and I as babies!! That's one of the reasons I'm trying to be more diligent with my kids baby books.

How nice you're able to compare! I don't think my mom has a baby book for me or my siblings!

Haha, Hayes is the same way. He is about 23 pounds and 30" long at 8 months. Everywhere we go, people think he is at least a year and a half. Hayes has also been way ahead of Chris and I in development also. So pretty much we just have a giant genius. hehehe
