23 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 23 weeks

*I had a vendor come in yesterday and tell me that I look like I'm due sooner than December. Thanks buddy*
*I meant to post this early last week but got sick. These are weeks 19-21 and I'm even bigger now*

Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of a large mango.

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +10-11 pounds. I started out at 103-105 and now I'm around 114-116 depending on if I weigh myself in the morning or at night.

Maternity Clothes: I got my order from Old Navy and I love all the shirts, they fit great and are super comfy. Hopefully they will last until the end of the pregnancy. Below are pictures of the tops I bought.

I also bought some black leggings which I suspect I'll be spending a LOT of time in.
Gender: Team Blue!

Movement: He's quite the mover and shaker in there and his kicks are getting more prominent on the outside as well.
What I miss: My husband, he's leaving today to go fishing for the next 5 days at the beach with his buddies. Something about being pregnant makes me more clingy to him.

Sleep: Better than last week.

Symptoms: backaches and breakouts and the skin on my tummy feeling tighter and tighter

Cravings: Hershey chocolate bars. I had a craving Sunday night and Kristian went out to buy me one and this is what he came home with. He said he wanted to be prepared with all options. haha

Best Moment this week: Getting a healthy heart report at my echo cardiogram ultrasound!

What I am looking forward to: Going shopping this weekend, hoping to find a cute dress for my baby shower in Oct.

Aw, Kristian's a good egg. :)

I love those tops. I also loved the roll top skirt Old Navy has. I wore that post-baby, too. I'd still wear it if I didn't feel weird wearing maternity clothes not pregnant (though I do still wear a strapless jumper thing as a beach coverup).

I thought I was cured of the baby fever, but it's totally coming back. Bad news for Rob.

Girl, you look gorgeous. Your tiny frame is the only reason he'd think you were further along. I only wish I could look as cute as you :)
