Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 17 weeks
*I'm still taking my weekly photos in the same outfit which I'll post again in a few weeks but I thought it would be fun to post a picture of me wearing something else for a change so you can see the growing belly*
Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of a turnip.
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +3 pounds from my last doctor's appointment and about +4-5 pounds overall.
Maternity Clothes: none yet, trying to get through summer at least. I will definitely need to buy a whole new wardrobe for the cold weather.
Gender: not sure, still getting the girl vibe though.
Movement: I believe there is definitely some movement happening in there now. Still hard to distinguish what's what though.
What I miss: nothing.
Sleep: This week has sucked but not because of the baby but because a certain husband of mine keeps snoring and waking me up!
Symptoms: Lots of stretching/growing/shifting type of feelings in my stomach. There definitely seems to be a party happening in my uterus.
Cravings: nothing in particular, haven't had much of an appetite this week.
Best Moment this week: Having a good doctor's appointment yesterday and ordering our crib
What I am looking forward to: Visiting my girl friend this weekend to go through her baby stuff and our anatomy scan in a couple weeks!

Ahhhhhhhhh so cute!!! Love the outfit choice ;)
Cute bump!! Can't wait until my "bump" is a real bump and not just bloat that makes me look chunky!! You look great!
Looking beautiful!!!
You look great! I didn't gain much weight in the beginning (though I gained in size). I always measured big from week 10, but I had trouble gaining the weight - gained it all around the 20-28 week period and then didn't get any bigger my third trimester. The big gestational diabetes diet was a big part in that. We had the same thoughts about genetic testing and didn't do any other than the standard ones the first time around. We'll be older next time so will have to revisit our thoughts.
Aw you look awesome! Cute dress!
you look adorable! :)
I love that your little baby is growing so perfectly! I cannot wait until your anatomy scan to find out what your beautiful baby is going to be.
