Getting My Hair Did

This Saturday I'm going for my first hair trial with a salon I found in Old Town Alexandria. It's only a few blocks from the hotel where we'll be staying/getting ready. I found it via a google search and it looks like a really cute place and the pricing is pretty much what I expected for the area. If I like the place I can put down a deposit to hold that morning for me and the bridesmaids. I'm not sure if everyone will want to have their hair and makeup done but I was told I could cancel for any of the girls up to two weeks beforehand.

I have two pictures that I plan to bring with me to help the stylist. I plan to wear my hair half-up and have long loose curls down my back.

I like this style a lot. It's more relaxed and romantic and I think it will look great with my dress and veil.

I like the way her curls are in this picture. My hair won't be quite this long though. It's closer to the length of the model in the first picture.

I will definitely take pictures afterwards to post on Monday (assuming I don't look hideous).

Those are so pretty! All this wedding stuff makes me want to get married again...to the same man, of course.

I love Old Town too. I used to live in Alexandria off of Van Dorn street before I got married. My husband is from Fairfax/Chantilly.

ps- following you

I love that style, too, and am thinking of going with a similar look. By the way, if you like the salon, I’d love to hear about it! I’m looking for a place to have my hair and makeup done for engagement photos this spring, and I live right by Old Town. (Of course, I can’t use my wedding day stylist because she’s out in California.)

Too funny! That first picture was the exact same one I used for my hair inspriation. It ended up coming out a little different, but I loved it!

Thats a very pretty hair style! I was thinking of doing my hair down, but knowing me it'll frizz and I'll get hot while dancing, so I'm doing to have it up.

OH it's so perfect! Hope you post pics of the trial. You're gonna look sooo purdy :)
My cousin (getting married in Sept) is planning a 1/2 up do as well, hair down without it being in your face, what's better than that!
