Open House

Our housewarming/birthday/anniversary party this past Saturday was a big success. We had a very nice turnout, good weather, great food and an overall fabulous time. Kristian and I were up at the crack of dawn on Saturday cleaning and making 4 yes FOUR trips to the store to get everything ready.

Before the party started Kristian decided to give me my birthday gift a bit early, figuring it would come in handy for the party. Behold my gift from my wonderful husband:

Now I just have to learn how to use all the different settings.  But at least I'm no longer stuck with only using my blackberry for all photos. Unfortunately even with my fancy new camera I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have. I also didn't eat much. The pitfalls of being a fabulous hostess I guess. We had the same problem at the wedding, too busy running around mingling and making sure everyone is having a good time that we forget to eat. Kristian was so busy manning the grill and feeding everyone else he didn't even get one of his killer hamburgers. But they were apparently very good since everyone devoured all the food.

See below for a few of the not very many pictures I took. Most of the guys were hanging out in Kristian's man cave at the time so we're missing a lot of our guests from these photos.

I can't believe we've been married for almost a year already.

One of my besties Colleen who will be leaving me to move to FL in a few months. *tears*

My old roomie Lauren, as you can see I still need to figure out the appropriate settings on my camera so we don't look quite so red in the future.

My father-in-law keeping an eye on our little bastard cat that likes to try to sneak outside.

Me and my mama, 31 years ago she gave birth to me the day after Mother's Day. Personally I can't think of a better gift for her than ME! haha

My girl Kelli that I've known since I was 12. Can you believe she had a baby in Sept?? Me neither. Bitch. haha
Kelli's little family with the cutest stud at our party Ryan. One of the most mellow kids I've ever met. He didn't cry or fuss once the whole time.

So the house has now been officially broken in. Everyone seemed to love what we've done so far and we got massive amounts of compliments on everything which always makes a girl feel good. We also scored some nice housewarming gifts which ain't too bad either.

Sounds like such a fun time (and what a cute baby)! I wish I could have been with my mama on Mother's Day, but she lives all the way across the country. :(
