1. I can't seem to stop buying Hunter Spring/Summer clothes. I justify it because I don't have much of a choice, he's outgrown all his clothes and shoes from last year so he actually does need a whole new summer wardrobe including shoes, swimsuits etc. The problem I'm having is sizing, right now he wears a 2T but I'm afraid if I buy everything in a 2T he will outgrow it before the end of the summer. But 3T is HUGE on him so I'm trying to buy a mix.
2. I hate medical bills. Really. We have a $5,000 deductible with our insurance policy because we're on the family plan and thanks to Kristian's surgery/MRI/Pain meds etc. we have definitely hit our deductible for the year but we're having to pay a lot of money out of pocket and the bills just keep coming. I'm really hoping for a good tax return to help offset some of these costs. On a good note, he had a follow up appointment with his doctor who assured him that the pain and knots he still has in his back are totally normal and will slowly go away over time it's just going to be a very slow healing process. At least now he's allowed to pick up Hunter again.
3. This past Monday, St. Patrick's Day, we got MORE snow, close to 10 inches. This wouldn't be a big deal if we lived in North Dakota but we live in Northern VA. It practically never snows in March let alone 10 inches. I have to admit I kind of love it. Yes I'm sick of the cold but I love staying home and playing in the snow with my little dude. He is OBSESSED with snow. We stayed out for an hour on Monday and he ran around and played while we shoveled and cleaned off cars. He even tried to help clean off our neighbors car. We are supposed to get even more snow next week! Nuts!
4. One thing Hunter is NOT obsessed with right now is bath time. He HATES it. It started a couple weeks ago when he accidentally peed in the bathtub. He got very upset and cried, even though we didn't scold him and told him it was okay, accidents happen. Since then every time we give him a bath he screams and cries and won't sit down and just tries to get out the whole time. I always make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold. The only thing I can think is that he's scared he's going to pee in the tub again. I always let him sit on his potty while the tub fills with water and have even told him if he pees in the tub it's okay. Last night I even gave him a bath in our tub thinking maybe he wouldn't be so scared and have the same association with it but no luck. Not sure what to do at this point.
5. I've been trying to work out more, nothing too crazy but I try to get in about 30 minutes of something 4 days a week, whether it's walking on the treadmill or just doing some squats and crunches. I'm really trying to tone up a bit before summer and I find that it seems to be helping me sleep better at night.

I am so sick of the snow. I cant believe we're going to get more on Tuesday!
Smith went thru a phase like that with the bathtub too. I don't get it either. No words of advice, sadly. And more snow? What the fuck dude.
We are going through the same bath time sobbing! I bought a new tub toy and so far, that has done the trick of distracting and no tears! :)

Go to the dollar store and get glow sticks- let him have a glow stick bath. Or maybe get him some colored bubbles.... just make it a fun activity and then maybe he will forget that he hates it..... other than that, maybe try the shower? Or if he is upset, then you can say " Take your bath, and I will let you shower off afterwards?"... Hope these ideas help.....
That first picture of Hunter is my favorite picture of him to date. Such a handsome muffin!
My friend's daughter is freaking out over the bath right now, too. It's a phase. My nephew used to gladly pee in the tub. It became, basically, how we knew bath time was over.
NBC4 just announced that the storm for next week should go out to sea so we shouldn't see much.
I actually have some summer clothes for ours. I need to get another swimsuit and a cover up and pool/beach shoes though. I do like to get Easter dresses for the kid though. It's my favorite holiday.
there's a DIY where you can use balloons and fill them up with some kind of fun liquid (and seal them of course) that glows in the water. i bet he would love that!

So jealous of that snow!! I know I know, I don't think I would be if I had been getting it for months now. Looks like Hunter sure is still enjoying it though. Sorry to hear about baths. Hopefully he starts liking them again soon.
In regards to the bath, have you tried the shower? Or getting in to the bath wtih him? Or taking a shower with him? Just suggestions.
I can't stop buying spring/summer clothes for the girls even though I'm pretty sure I already have enough. Part of my problem is that Chloe is too small for some of the summer stuff I have so I need to buy smaller things. She's in size 3T shirts and some pants right now but shorts are so big that I need to buy 18months/2t. Sad really. I find it's the opposite here - size 3 seems to run really small. Weird.
The bathtub thing is odd. I hear a lot of kids go through phases of despising the tub so hopefully it passes quickly.
That snow is INSANE! We barely have any snow left here in ND (but that could change in a day..)
Caleb did that with the bath too, one day you couldn't get him out, the next day it was like it was as if it was a torture chamber.. Toddlers are weird, man! He probably already likes it again seeing as how you wrote this a few days ago ;-) If not I am sure he will soon, and if not summer is coming soon...and the pool is sort of the same - ha ha!
Ugh I feel your pain with medical bills. I don't have THAT issue but I know I'm going to be paying several grand out of pocket for dental bills soon. In the middle of wedding planning and honeymoon planning.
Being an adult is lame.
