Weekly Update- 25 weeks

5/23/16 - 5/29/16

Size of baby: A rutabaga- 1 1/2 pounds and 13 inches

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 14ish pounds- I will find out better at my next appointment

Maternity Clothes: breaking out more of my maternity clothes including my first pair of maternity shorts (Hunter was a winter baby so I never had maternity shorts) and they are SO comfortable. I forgot how comfy maternity clothes are!

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: His movements are getting stronger and more active. You can actually feel little body parts poking out, it's cool and a bit creepy.

What I miss: right now my air conditioning which broke this week and being 6 months pregnant when it's 90 degrees out and no AC basically sucks.

Sleep: thanks to no AC sleep has been horrible, it's so freaking hot in our room neither of us can sleep.

Symptoms: some sharp pains in my crotch region which is uncomfortable. Peeing a lot more and increased appetite.

Cravings: desserts and baked goods

Best Moment this week:  Going to my in-laws beach house for Memorial Day weekend. It was a quick trip but so much fun and I love watching how excited Hunter gets when he's down there.

What I am looking forward to: Getting my AC fixed hopefully soon!

Weekly Update- 24 weeks

May 16, 2016 - May 22, 2016

Size of baby: Ear of Corn-  His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 14ish pounds

Maternity Clothes: a mix of maternity and non maternity, the weather has been cold for this time of year, hoping it warms up soon so I can wear more dresses and my summer maternity tops.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Still a lot of moving around, very strong kicks and full body waves. You can watch my belly and see movement which seems really early compared to last time.

What I miss: nothing new

Sleep: I still wake up probably 2-3 times to pee and it takes a bit to get comfortable again.

Symptoms: getting worn out quickly, getting more uncomfortable when sitting or laying in certain positions, peeing a LOT more.  Also, had my first and so far only braxton hick contraction while at work. Took me a bit by surprise but that's definitely what it was, I forgot how uncomfortable those are!

Cravings: sweets and carbs. Good thing I've been working out fairly regularly or I would have gained a lot more by now.

Best Moment this week:  Celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary and spending the night away up in National Harbor at a nice hotel. It was very relaxing and much needed. We won't get many more dates night between now and Sept.

What I am looking forward to: Memorial Day weekend and going down to my in-laws beach house. I bought a new tankini style bathing suit which fits great now but may end up being too small by August.

Weekly Update- 23 weeks

5/8/15 - 5/15/16

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12-13 pounds

Maternity Clothes: a mix of maternity and non maternity

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Lots of movement, especially at night when I'm laying on the couch. Sometimes he's up high and sometimes he down really low and punching my bladder.

What I miss: still miss chocolate and not tossing and turning so much when I sleep.

Sleep: waking up a lot and shifting around, so not great.

Symptoms: my face has been breakout which hasn't really been a problem up to this point. Harder to bend over to put on shoes and clothes.

Cravings: milk shakes and fries...all healthy stuff ;)

Best Moment this week: Celebrating my birthday, it was a nice low key day with some nice presents from Kristian and Hunter. Went to a big yard sale and scored a playmat for $10.

Weekly Update- 22 weeks

5/1/2016-5/8/16
*just realized Mother's Day was 5/8 not 5/7. Oh well*

Size of baby: Spaghetti squash-  he is almost a pound, starting to look more like a newborn.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 11 pounds

Maternity Clothes: regular pants with belly bands and a mix with tops.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Pretty consistent movement and its all over so he's shifting around a lot in there. Can even see my belly move now.

What I miss: caffeine and chocolate, I'm not allowed to have caffeine right now and since chocolate has caffeine in it I have to cut that out as well.

Sleep: not great, lots of tossing and turning and getting up to pee.

Symptoms: lots of movement, backaches and growing pains in my belly.

Cravings: chocolate because I can't eat it.

Best Moment this week: We did the fetal echo cardiogram to check on the baby's heart and everything looks great! The minor irregularity that he had at the anatomy scan seems to be gone possibly due to cutting out all caffeine so I need to continue that. Also, I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.

What I am looking forward to: finish up our registry. My sister-in-law is throwing me a sprinkle later this summer so I need to get that updated.

Weekly Update- 21 weeks

Size of baby: The length of a carrot- you may soon feel fluttering (I have been for a while)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10ish pounds

Maternity Clothes: regular pants with belly bands and a mix with tops.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Lots of movement when I'm sitting still or laying down and feel him much better on the outside.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and not tossing and turning so much.

Sleep: see above, lots of tossing and turning and not being able to get comfortable.

Symptoms: lots of kicks, a spike in energy but doesn't last long, nesting is strong right now!

Cravings: anything black cherry flavored- seltzer, yogurt, ice cream etc.

Best Moment this week: Hunter felt the baby kick Friday night for the first time and he got the biggest smile on his face when I told him his brother just high fived him.

What I am looking forward to: having our yard sale and getting rid of all the crap in the future nursery and our echocardiogram on Tuesday to take a better look at the baby's heart (we did this with Hunter as well as a precaution because Kristian was born with a heart issue).
