Brooks Michael- Two Months (10/29/16)

Weight- Brooks was weighed at his 2 month checkup and clocked in at 11lbs 14oz and 24.5" so he's up 4 pounds and 4 inches in two months! Amazing that he's grown that much just from breastmilk.

Eating- Still primarily breastmilk, though he is now getting one formula bottle a day at daycare since my supply can't keep up with his demand. When I'm home he nurses on demand typically every 2 hours or so. At daycare he gets three 4oz bottles of breastmilk and one 4oz bottle of formula. I'm thankful that he doesn't seem to mind going back and forth between the two. He just likes to eat, much like his brother.

Sleep- His sleep hasn't been great but could definitely be worse. He goes to bed around 9 and will usually sleep until around 2am, I will feed and change him and then he will sleep until around 5am which is a bit annoying since we get up at 6. But at least he's getting one good long stretch. He's still in the rock n play in our room, not sure when we will move him to his room. At daycare they've been trying to get him to nap in a crib and he will only sleep for about 15 minutes at a time so I'm in no rush to make the transition at home. Because he doesn't sleep much at school he pretty much just sleeps in the evenings from the time he gets home until "bedtime" only waking to eat and play for a little bit.

Clothes- He can no longer fit into his newborn clothes which breaks my heart so he's in 0-3, 3 month and even some 6 month clothes (though those are big).

Diapers- Size 1

Hair and Eye color- brown hair and blue eyes. His eyes keep getting lighter and the doctor confirmed that they are too light to now turn brown so they will either stay blue or maybe turn green like his brother. Can't believe we got another light eyed child considering Kristian has brown eyes. It will be interesting to see if his hair turns blond.

Likes/Dislikes: He still loves to be carried in the baby K'tan and going for walks in the stroller. He hates getting in and out of the carseat but will fall asleep if the car is moving. He loves bath time and has started to enjoy his playmat which he had no interest in. He likes to be wrapped up in his blanket when he sleeps but hates the swaddles with Velcro. Daddy and Hunter can almost always get a smile out of him.

Milestones-
started daycare on 10/24

took his first school pictures
started smiling and cooing
drank first formula bottle

went to first pumpkin patch
