humpday confessions

Today I'm linking up with one of my favorite bloggers Kathy for her Humpday Confessions. Kathy is the queen of gifs and is awesome about responding to all comments which I love.

1. Last Friday I got to leave work early for Good Friday but instead of going to pick up my son early I went to Target. It had been a stressful week and I wanted some retail therapy. I spent about $100 in 15 minutes so mission accomplished.

2. I've always been a bit sad at the thought of leaving Hunter overnight but next week I'm going to FL to visit one of my dearest friends and her new twins for the weekend and I'm really not sad about leaving Hunter. I desperately need a bit of time away and I will be enjoying lots of baby snuggles.

3. I really really hope my husband gives me a very nice birthday/Mother's Day gift next month. I deserve it.

4. As much as I want to have another baby, once Hunter is in bed at night and I'm able to just veg out on the couch and catch up on my DVR I think to myself  "it's really nice not having a newborn keeping me up all night".

5. We hid most of Hunters Easter candy and we will probably end up throwing most of it out. None of us need to eat that much candy.

hahha i do that with kayla's candy. she gets a ton of it but only eats like 1 piece and the rest gets brought to work so the people here can get unhealthy instead of her LOL

thanks for linking up!

Hahahaha. I totally agree with retail therapy too, especially at Target. I recently spent $120 there at the drop of a hat! Pretty much took me a matter of minutes. Place is dangerous...but amazing...enjoy your time away girl!! :) Happy I found your blog through Kathy's link-up!!

I'm not allowed to go to Target because we joke there is a $100 cover charge to walk in the door. I've been taking advantage of the free shipping so I don't have to go into the store. I have a $20 gift card that has to be picked up and thinking of having Rob go and get it so I don't shop.

I didn't get a lot of candy for ours. We do presents instead of a lot of candy, but there is some. She shared some with me and the rest will get doled out little by little until the next candy holiday (so, like, Halloween). I just threw away the Christmas candy her cousin gave her.

I think you're ready for a second child when you forget how hard a newborn is. That's what we did - and then we waited 2 more years. I held a baby for the first time in years a couple of weeks ago and totally forgot how 10 pounds can really work your arms let alone all the other newborn challenges there are.

We hid Taylor's candy too (although she didn't get a lot), but I've been snacking on it at night. Shame.

Love this! :) Oh I would definitely do the same in taking that early day off work to go shopping or something for me, before rushing to pick up the kiddo. Mama needs time too!

I do have a newborn on the way and I am realizing how much I am going to miss that time from 8pm to 10pm, just lazing on the couch washing TV (and catching up on blogs like right now). Eek! Of couse, I am looking forward to lots of other things about having a newborn!! :)

Mmm send some of that candy this way ;)

I didn't even bring Connor's candy home from the play date we had. No one here needs that shit. No one.
I haven't been to Target much lately. I feel like they've dropped the ball somewhere. I'm not loving their stuff these days.

Ugh, I would be HORRIBLE if I had a kid and all that candy was around. I love candy and if it's near me I want to eat it.

Obviously this is the reason I have all the dental issues I do =-p

I still do number 4 every night and I will have a newborn in less than a week. Seems kind of like a bad idea!

I could not agree with #4 any more. I suffer from baby fever a LOT lately, but then sometimes it's such a relief to put Chloe to bed that I cant imagine having a baby again right now.
I hid a lot of Chloe's Easter chocolate too. She doesn't need much of it. She already isn't a huge eater, so I only give her tiny bits of chocolate if she eats all her meal, which is rare. Of course candy and chocolate never get thrown out at my place. We love it too much.
