Weekly Update- 35 weeks

8/1/16 - 8/7/16

Size of baby: Honeydew Melon- .Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think around 30 pounds, will find out at my next appointment.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity and maxi dresses

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: He's not moving quite as much due to limited space but still the most active in the evening.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and being able to get comfortable at night.

Sleep: once I get comfortable I'm fine minus getting up to pee every 2 hours.

Symptoms: I had really bad heartburn for a couple of days and finally took some Zantac which helped. The BH contractions are getting more frequent and uncomfortable and lower back pain. I can't really wear my wedding/engagement ring anymore, they are very tight so I've been wearing my fake wedding band I used when pregnant with Hunter.

Cravings: baked goods

Best Moment this week: Did a lot of nesting over the weekend, made some freezer meals and cleaned the house, pulled out Hunter's old carseat, a lot more progress so if he were to come early I would feel a bit more prepared.

What I am looking forward to: My shower this weekend, I already know of a few fun gifts we will be getting and looking forward to seeing family and friends.

Weekly Update- 34 weeks

7/25/16 - 7/31/16

Size of baby: Cantaloupe- the baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers – which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born – are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever

Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of my doctor appointment about 28 pounds. However, my belly is measuring the same as two weeks ago so I guess the 3 pounds I gained in two weeks went to my ass.

Maternity Clothes: My wardrobe is getting limited even maternity clothes are getting tight!

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: He's most active at night between 8-10pm and if I wake up to use to the bathroom. He likes to sleep more during the day so this will be fun once he's born.

What I miss: not being constantly uncomfortable all the time.

Sleep: hit or miss, either great or terrible.

Symptoms: heartburn has started which I didn't really get with Hunter. And still having lots of BH contractions.

Cravings: bagels with cheese

Best Moment this week: The nursery is 90% done, just waiting on some etsy prints to come so I can hang them and finish the wall decor.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the boys bathroom renovated which wasn't something we planned to do but thanks to a plumbing issue needs to be done ASAP. Not really looking forward to spending the money however.

Weekly Update- 33 weeks

July 18, 2016 - July 24, 2016

Size of baby: A pineapple-  this week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark.. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look, and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've stopped weighing myself so I will find out at my 34 week appointment but probably around 27ish pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, maternity tops and shirts but mainly wearing maternity and non maternity dresses since it's so hot out.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: Still very active and his movements can be quite painful at times due to his increasing size. He gets hiccups often.

What I miss: my energy level, I keep trying to nest but get worn out very quickly. And not being uncomfortable all the time.

Sleep: the past week wasn't great, couldn't get comfortable.

Symptoms: more frequent and uncomfortable braxton hicks. I get nauseous if I eat too much.

Cravings: still loving pancakes and waffles, I could eat them everyday and I'm not usually a big fan of pancakes.

Best Moment this week: Got all our maternity pictures back and they are GREAT! I will post them this week. Finished washing all of Hunters old baby clothes and getting the room more organized. Hunter is getting better with his swimming and went off the diving board for the first time!

What I am looking forward to: The weather temp cooling off, we've had a heat wave the past few days. My baby shower in a couple weeks.

Weekly Update- 32 weeks

7/11/16 - 7/17/16

Size of baby: A large Jicama-  your baby weighs 3 3/4 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. He'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb

Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of my 32 week check I've gained 25 pounds. If I can top out at 35 pounds or less I will be happy. Kristian keeps telling me not to worry about it because he knows I will lose it but it's still a good amount to have to lose and it wasn't as easy last time as I had thought it would be.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, maternity tops and shorts and maxi dresses. Some of my maternity tops are getting tight!

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: He doesn't seem to be as active during the day, more so at night. But I can tell he's running out of room so he's not doing as many flips.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back (my favorite positions).

Sleep: waking up a lot more to use the bathroom, it's like once an hour until around 3am and then I can sleep straight through until 6 or 7am.

Symptoms: a few sharp pains here and there (I'm guessing from him growing), braxton hicks contractions and I've finally started getting a bit of heartburn at night. I've never really suffered from heartburn in my pregnancies but if I eat too much at dinner it's affecting me.

Cravings: lemonade and blueberry pancakes

Best Moment this week: Saw a sneak peek of our maternity pictures and they are awesome! My mom came to visit for the weekend which was fun. Ordered a personalized hat and blanket for the baby which means we've decided on a name! (though technically we could still change it)

What I am looking forward to: Doing some more organizing in the nursery, I need to get the closet organized, hang curtains and do the wall decor.

Weekly Update- 31 weeks

7/4/16 - 7/10/16

Size of baby: A coconut- He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump up as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I will find out at my 32 week appointment, I haven't weighed myself recently.

Maternity Clothes: mainly maxi dresses, love maxi dresses, pants are the devil at the moment.

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: still very active though not as much during the day, I've noticed a lot more hiccups.

What I miss: being able to move around easily and not get worn out so quickly. Being able to comfortably sleep at night.

Sleep: once I get comfortable, which can take a while, I sleep fine.

Symptoms: Not as many contractions so long as I stay hydrated but some growing pains, especially in the lower region.

Cravings: grilled pineapple with brown sugar on it and blueberry pancakes

Best Moment this week: Kristian put together the crib, nightstand and dresser, I started putting the washed baby clothes away (most of them are Hunters hand-me-downs) and even started packing my hospital bag so I could determine what I still need so LOTS of nesting. Oh and we had our maternity photos (the picture above was taken before we left) and I can't wait to see them!

What I am looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery and getting our maternity pictures back.

Weekly Update- 30 weeks

6/27/16 - 7/3/16

Size of baby: A cabbage- His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision – which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 22 pounds as of my doctors appointment. I have about 10 more pounds until I hit where I was with Hunter when I delivered

Maternity Clothes: all maternity and stretchy dresses

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: still very active especially at night when I'm laying on the couch. We've gotten better at determining the various body parts as they move.

What I miss: being able to turn over easily in bed and sleeping on my stomach and back

Sleep: actually better except for getting up to pee a lot but I fall asleep again pretty quickly.

Symptoms: I still have a lot of braxton hicks contractions throughout the day though drinking more water helps. Belly feels very heavy

Cravings: still craving sweet stuff like fruit and desserts

Best Moment this week: a good doctors appointment where he calmed my fears about delivering early, apparently the baby isn't quite as low as I thought/he feels. Had a great 4th of July weekend at the beach house and the crib arrived!

What I am looking forward to: Kristian putting together the furniture for the nursery so I can start putting stuff away. I've washed a ton of Hunters baby clothes but now need a place to put them all!

Weekly Update- 29 weeks

6/20/16 - 6/26/16

Size of baby: Butternut Squash-  His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 20ish pounds, haven't weighed myself this week

Maternity Clothes: all maternity and stretchy dresses

Sex: Boy #2

Movement: he moves all day long and especially at night around 9pm which seems to be when he's most active. He feels very low so my cervix is taking a beating.

What I miss: not being so uncomfortable all the time and running out of energy so easily. I desperately want to clean/organize and nest but get worn out so quickly.

Sleep: terrible until about 2am, lots of tossing and turning, around 2-3am I finally settle down and sleep well until my alarm goes off.

Symptoms: this past week was rough, a lot of braxton hicks contractions, pressure and feeling more like I'm 9 months pregnant than 7 months. I'm starting to panic that he's going to come early and we are NOT ready.

Cravings: anything sweet

Best Moment this week: After panicking the other day about him coming early I ordered the crib, bedding and made Kristian paint the nursery this weekend. Also, pulled out Hunter's baby clothes to start organizing. So we made some progress.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the crib this week and a long 4th of July weekend.
