I don't knock formula feeders, but really wanted to breast feed. I never thought of how much goes into it but you are right, it does take a lot and I'm glad you took time to appreciate your body! It's a big achievement and you should be proud!AmyJean {Relentless Bride®}https://www.blogger.com/profile/10648725099262152263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205981882039279640.post-3490360564902507042012-07-03T20:55:55.556-04:002012-07-03T20:55:55.556-04:00Good for you! I was exhausted from having to bottle feed the baby, put her to sleep, then pump for about a half hour before going to sleep myself, over and over. I'm glad you're not against formula either. I hate that it seems like so many people are always against one or the other. Not everyone has a choice.Venassahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06704438571731585603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205981882039279640.post-73415544788645295402012-07-03T16:42:56.150-04:002012-07-03T16:42:56.150-04:00Good for you!! :) Breastfeeding can definitely be ...Good for you!! :) Breastfeeding can definitely be tough at times but it is so rewarding. I was just saying to my husband yesterday how much I am going to miss it when Alidia weans. It can be a hassle at times, sure, but I so love that bounding time with her.Fionahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10599185555003951397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205981882039279640.post-51006507021115119072012-07-03T15:30:04.054-04:002012-07-03T15:30:04.054-04:00Good for you! It's nice that you also acknowledge that kids who are formula-fed can thrive, too, since so many people today don't. I was formula-fed, and though I haven't yet had to make any final decisions, I think I might someday lean toward that option with my kids, for a number of personal reasons. But I've heard so many people criticize and openly put down those moms who can't or have chosen not to breastfeed, and it really angers me.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13226523010102160874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205981882039279640.post-41994203534557596832012-07-03T12:02:34.332-04:002012-07-03T12:02:34.332-04:00Good for you! So, I didn't nurse a lot that first day or much in the beginning with all the worry and craziness of the hospital. So, I don't think we had a good start. I did nurse and supplemented with formula, but I just barely lasted 6 months and it was a fairly easy process to quit for both of us.

I didn't find it relaxing and I think she could tell we were both a bit impatient. She's a slow eater and I'm impatient. I still don't like sitting and watching her eat. Still, if we have another, I'll do it again for at least the same amount of time. I'll never be a long-term nurser though like some women.princessaprhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17661275728902254769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205981882039279640.post-85272746647906854462012-07-03T11:18:51.772-04:002012-07-03T11:18:51.772-04:00awww!
